Around 1.5 years ago, we installed our Doyle sheet cleaning system on a Rapida 105 at HagerPapprint in Kirkel. HagerPapprint has been producing high-quality, comprehensive solutions in the field of packaging printing for over 125 years. Due to ever-increasing demands and materials that are often of poorer quality, they decided to install a Doyle sheet cleaning system.
According to Managing Director Thomas Wirbel, downtime for washing operations has been reduced when dealing with dusty and problematic materials. Improved print quality has simultaneously led to a reduction in complaint costs.

"The Doyle sheet cleaning system has reduced the cleaning effort required for the printing plates by approximately 40%. This varies depending on the product and is particularly noticeable with full-surface printing.
Thanks to the additional IR dryer during the printing process, as well as the final dryer in the discharge station (transfer unit), multi-colour full-surface items with gloss varnish could be switched from two to one machine pass whilst maintaining the same production speed.
Overall, the total efficiency in the production of these previously critical items has increased by approximately 45%."

"We can state that the usage of Doyle web cleaner improved performance of the web cleaning dramatically.
When we started using 2-manifold system the number of stops decreased around 2 times. For 3-manifold system – 3 times.
Before when we were using web-cleaning system from the other supplier, average length of produced material was 57,000m before we had to stop to clean plates from dust.
With 2 manifold system we reached 112,000m and with 3 manifold system 184,000m on average.

Elopak has installed a double-sided PrintConcept vacuum cleaning system on a flexographic printing machine and has achieved a significantly higher net production time since commissioning, while maintaining the same print quality.
